nope, you gotta have a pc with a 25pin serial port. can't you get a serial to usb adapter? i sell them at my work for like $40. damn pricey, but you could probably get one waaay cheaper somewhere online. i've only heard of issues with the pokemon gold/silver batteries going out prematurely (by prematurely i mean like 4 or 5 years). i had to go through like 3 bad pokemon gold carts before i got one that worked properly. For the most part other cart's batteries should last quite a while. but still, it's definitely a good idea to back that shit up just incase. and i can't believe nick managed to glitch the fuck out of his gameboy at the station the other night! he's lucky his cart's still intact. looks like the battery isn't the only thing to worry about wont work with the transferer because of like power issues or something. most odd stuff like that wont work with an adaptor. only really like.. some printers and a few other things work with those adaptors. well, it might, but i doubt it. and i wouldn't want to try it incase it just hosed the cart. the gold/silver/crystal batteries die fast because they have a clock in them. litteraly, like the clock bits from a cheap casio watch. running 24/7/365. i don't remember how they corrected this problem in the GBA games, but those old ones just ate batteries. red/yellow/blue didn't have that issue because of the lack of time, and the ds games use the DS time. LSDJ, being a one man project.. is by no means "debugged". the first day i got mine i glitched it out terribly and crashed it twice, and i've had slightly similar problems with it just totally fucking up once since then. usually i just get really odd problems with the timing on the pulse channels being off from eachother, and/or weird echo-ish shit(what the..). i've only had a turn the gameboy off and on freeze once. i wish there was a way to disable it "autosaving" what you were last doing, so that if you do something that fuxx0rz it you could just reset and make it go away. i would be fine with losing what i had been doing if the battery died, since i can still manually save. it's almost an annoying feature most of the time, especially in moments where you do something that causes odd issues. i think part of my problem might be my gameboy, or DMG's in general though. i've had weird issues with it buzzing/glitching out near huge interference sources like electric trolley busses, or buzzing when tipped to certain angles. although that might be caused by it being the screen/front chipboard of my gameboy, with the back/sound/etc board of atoms.. connected by a slightly munched cable.

is it just a normal grey dmg? because if it's one of the play it loud/colored ones, it might be worth it to buy a grey one for like $5-15 and just swap the guts out.
also, i might be able to help you out when i get a transferer soon.

holy crap, this is getting to be one long-ass thread.
sounds pretty good so far evan! for some reason it sounds to me like it could be the background music for some kind of sidescrolling action game where you beat up zombies in a haunted house!

hey, does anyone have a dmg>dmg link cable? i've found a few dmg>color ones and such, but not just a straight original one. tried every store in town i was hoping one of you guys had a spare so i didn't have to internet-order and ship yet another thing.
