OR JUST RELEASE WEAPON PLAY.
(i miss it.)
How long is a cartridge's battery life supposed to be around? I'm honestly so scared all the time of mine just straight dying on me even though I just got it!

ive read online that peoples carts typically last 1.5 years, but honestly, just like anything thing, they could last anywhere from 2 weeks - 4 + years; anythings possible! thats why you need to backup your ROM!!

how exactly does one go about 'ridin dirty'? "Ridin' Dirty" is whenever you're driving in some manner that might get you busted by the 5-0, e.g. With a stash on you, alcohol (if you're a minor), drunk, or...I would imagine having illegal immigrants. I think it's mostly drugs though.

Only the second generation of Pokemon (G/S/C) and on had batteries in the carts. pwned? How much is a transferer? I don't want to buy one, but at this point it just seems way too important not to!

nope, you gotta have a pc with a 25pin serial port.
"do not pass go, do not collect $200" so to speak.

nope, you gotta have a pc with a 25pin serial port. can't you get a serial to usb adapter? i sell them at my work for like $40. damn pricey, but you could probably get one waaay cheaper somewhere online. i've only heard of issues with the pokemon gold/silver batteries going out prematurely (by prematurely i mean like 4 or 5 years). i had to go through like 3 bad pokemon gold carts before i got one that worked properly. For the most part other cart's batteries should last quite a while. but still, it's definitely a good idea to back that shit up just incase. and i can't believe nick managed to glitch the fuck out of his gameboy at the station the other night! he's lucky his cart's still intact. looks like the battery isn't the only thing to worry about
