Ohh yeahhh. Well yesterday while working on my Daft Punk LSDJ remix I tought myself how to put that "cutoff" effect on the noise channel typically for snares. Random seems to like doing that to his snares. As for telling you how, I'm too lazy. I'll show you Aaron you big sexy man.

Yeah Jack, how is 8 bit fury coming? Very good, thanks for asking . I'm re0doing a couple of the tracks. Just some minor adjustments so they feel more like songs to me and less like tests from when I started. I also have 2 more songs waiting in the wings to be unveiled. 8BF will be at least a 6-track EP, and maybe even a seven! I don't know when it will be finished and officially released. It all depends. I want to release at least one new thing in January if I get into Sound-Off! this year, so that I'll have something to hype myself up with. If I don't get around to making another professional album, it'll be this. Speaking of Professionalism, If they would be so pleased to hear them, I would like to use this thread as an opportunity to offer Nick, Gabe and Aaron, and any other chiptune artists a couple pointers on how to mix your LSDJ tracks a little better. Not to say their is anything wrong with the way you do it currently. You could just get a fuller sound out of it, and it does make the tracks louder, sharper, and a little more pro-ish sounding. Your call anyway . |

Most of the issue has to do with panning and stereo phase offset. I could probably post something pretty extensive written-wise about what I do. Or maybe I could make a video tutorial! Kind of fun, huh? |

Only 55 minutes before I bid on a green classic Game Boy!!!! Wish me luck guys.....so excited. I plan on making the Game Boy look like Fighter X with the grey buttons dyed yellow, a red backlighting mod, an RCA pro sound mod like my clear boy, and a red LSDJ cart. Hopefully I win ^_^!! My first and only LSDJ has only 10 blocks left! EDIT: Do to my poor eBay skills, I was unable to succesfully place the highest bid at the right time. I didn't know that bids ended when 10 seconds was left haha!! I was trying to slap $15 on it with under 10 seconds left so no green boy for me  Fortunately I stumbled upon one of the sexiest Game Boys I have ever seen. I now own this instead...
