it was supposed to be a beetle? hey, that woulda been cool! like the big fatty ones with the horns? heehee. and, yeah. i sort of impulsively deleted that huge chunk because i felt stupid for posting such a huge thing that seemed to go un-read. then when i changed my mind and went to paste it back, it was gone, because i copied a flyer link afterwards! ;D
anyway. i've been refining my uh, what a treat stuffed toys today. they look much better, in my opinion. and, even though at previous crunchyco meetings, everyone said i shouldn't work on toys yet, i disagree, so i'm going to try and have some for grassfest. if not to sell a few, then to give away as one of the prizes. sound good?

Yes, it was originally supposed to be a beetle, but I couldn't really figure out how to draw a beetle so it ended up being an ant, sort of. There was one person who thought it was a grasshopper... I guess the only thing that matters really is that it's some kind of insect.
As for the thin lines and little details on t-shirts, I think this one will be okay. The only time it's really bad is when I have lines that are like 1 pixel in size. This one doesn't have any lines THAT thin. The actual size printout on paper looks good, and since this is just a black print on a white shirt, that will help too. I think it'll be okay. Last year's shirt had pretty thin lines too and it looked great. I do need to practice using thicker lines though next time I design a more complex shirt with more colors and stuff.
yeah lizzy you should give people more time to look over your posts before deleting them! you confused poor aaron! you really had an interesting idea. maybe you should post that idea in a new thread under 'artists and projects' so people can talk about it.
and a what a treat toy would be an excellent raffle prize! can't wait to see what you make.

tried to get a hold of you Gabe. world history just dropped. all he said is "we're gonna have to cancel. Shit has gone down."
it really really sucks but what we need to do is just bump the two bands below them up a time slot.

yeah. damn flakes. once again, there will be a band on the shirt that didn't play the show. it's kind of a tradition now i guess. maybe next year we should deliberately put some bands that aren't playing on the shirt just so we can stay consistent.
and what the hell does 'shit has gone down' supposed to mean!? that better mean something really fucking serious. like cancer. or a fire. i can't possibly think of a better excuse.

DAMNIT!! i thought we made it clear to all the bands that if they agreed to play the show, their names will be forever banded on beautiful tshirts, thus forever binding them to the event!! GOD WHAT A BUNCH OF ASSHOLES i say either they figure out some kind of solo acoustic set with just the guitarist / singer, or that the members that do not have shit going up or down must still attend the event and buy something. or maybe a small fee! muahahhaha EDIT: when i said a-s-s-h-o-l-e-s above, this forum was supposed to automatically change it to anus holes!! what the hell gabe, did you change that back or is it because i used all CAPS?? i demand whenever someones types a-s-s it is changed to anus!! i want either that or the karma system back!!! everything i love about this forum is disappearing  |
