Jack started the UNOFFICIAL Grassfest 2008 thread, and now I'm starting the OFFICIAL one!
Plans discussed so far:
Grassfest 2008 will take place in the same location as the previous two years, which is the property behind Nick Moffitt's house in Marysville, WA.
It will of course be free and open to the public as always.
The event will be hosted by Nick Moffitt's father, Frank, who has previously been an unofficial speaker at past Grassfest events (by this we mean he just grabs the mic in between bands and starts talking randomly). He's great.
The date will be: Saturday, August 23.
We have compiled a secret list of bands we would like to invite. We will start inviting them and if they agree, their name will be posted here.
In the past, Grassfest has been somewhat disastrous for many reasons. We are working hard this year to correct the mistakes of the past and put on a fun and enjoyable show that will run smoothly.
Now, we have our list, but if anyone has any ideas for bands that might want to play this free backyard show, please let me know and we will look into it.

Chances of me being that sick again during the next Grass Fest are slim to none. All I ask from Crunchy Company is a BANGIN' SOUND SYSTEM! TOP PRIORITY!!

Well I do have an idea for a good sound system. But as we've learned from the past, electronic music gets drowned out horribly in the wide open outdoors. We'll see what happens. I'm surprised Nick would want to play Grassfest again after GF '06... That whole show was a disaster. I don't even know if I want KGHB to do Grassfest this year

Well I mean. If Grassfest is happening I'm probably going to have to go right?

Well you do have to go to Grassfest at least as a guest. If you play, hopefully our sound system will be able to do you justice in the wide open wilderness

I'm so scared of Grassfest... I think a lot of people are... But that's what makes it fun right? uh... right? It does get better a little bit every year though.

Yes it's about time this became official!
But oh no, no KGHB? This can't happen! I would be so sad! Certainly this whole KGHB might not do it thing is a joke!
I can't wait to see the line-up. No matter how the sound comes out, I think this will be one seriously awesome super fun event!

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to the Penny Arcade Expo taking place from Aug 29-31, Grassfest 2008 has been moved one week ahead to Saturday August 23. But oh no, no KGHB? This can't happen! I would be so sad! Certainly this whole KGHB might not do it thing is a joke! Well, it all depends on what we end up getting together for a sound system. If our electronic tunes will carry decently in the open outdoors, we'll consider it. It wouldn't make much sense to not play at a show we're putting on ourselves, but it all just depends.

Yeah I remember him being very "sick" last year, but: Chances of me being that sick again during the next Grass Fest are slim to none.
