If Kimya Dawson would seriously consider playing a free music festival in someone's backyard, then that would be great. Like I said, why don't you ask her Lizzy? You know enough about what Grassfest is. The date is August 23. She'd be a great daytime act assuming she's not too big now for backyard shows. I wonder if she has a booking agent we'd have to go through? okay. i asked her myself. happy? now i just have to wait anxiously for her reply  |

by george seth you're a genius! is Joel's PA that one that we used at Tweeks? That system is fucking amazing. And have you guys done many shows yet? If you guys are ready to play, I'm down with it. yeah, it's the same one, except we only have one power amp at this juncture. if you can wrangle another then we'll have two towers with built-in subs AND two 15" subs. good for electronica! That sounds amazing. what's the best way to contact joel? |

looks like GRASSFEST 2008 will have a fantastic PA from joel (guy who used to run the venue TWEEKS in bellingham) and also feature extra speakers and stuff lent to us from Guitar Center! Because of this, it is now confirmed that Fighter X and KGHB will be playing Grassfest 2008!!!

Many more bands have been asked and we are awaiting reply:

[ ] Solar Opposites
[ ] School Bus Bar Fight
[ ] The Lonely Forest
[ ] The Lonely H
[ ] The Lashes
[ ] Invisible Giants
and a bunch more too apparently...
I had a concern about the number of bands that have been asked, but Brandon and Nick assure me not to worry. They wanted to make sure not to underbook. If they end up overbooking, they will be cutting some of the bands away.
I just hope we don't have two bands that start with "The Lonely...", and if Siren's Sister is going to play, I hope they don't flake out at the last minute again. There are definitely many concerns regarding the line-up so far, but again, Brandon and Nick tell me not to worry and that they will take care of everything so I'm going to trust them.
The absolute final list will be posted on Saturday.

Hey aaron. dont be rude. this is a festival nick and i are putting together and i am telling you that you need to be respectful to the other bands. i know what you ment by that and i dont want to hear it again. the bands on this list are being linked to crunchyco and the forums. especially once the grassfest page come up. Man. Just to let everyone know I haven't actually said I would play Grassfest yet. If you guys overbook I would be happy not playing haha. It's hard enough playing shows as it is. EDIT: Ahh screw it. It's obvious I don't want to play Grassfest 08. This event is NOT for music like mine. All of these bands and Me clash way too hard. Stuff like this never works at shows and never will any time soon.
