If you LOOK at the TRS of the 1/4" chord you'll notice the dimensions are flawed. Hopefully that's fixed before these shirts are printed.

Thanks for the extremely nit-picky (yet accurate) observation Nick. I drew it from memory and when I was done, I actually thought I might have messed it up. Anyways, FIXED. Happy now ya big jerk?

Yeah I'm actually glad you mentioned it because it would've been semi-embarrassing for me if more people noticed it on the shirt! So now that we have less than a week until the event, everyone needs to make sure to be posting up bulletins and comments on people's pages promoting the event. Use your choice of flyer from the grassfest events page and make it a point to promote a little bit each day. tell eveyone you can find who lives in this area. Here's a checklist of other things that need to be done before the event: Things to do: [ ] Prepare/Organize Merchandise (Will be done by me this week) [ ] Prepare Raffle Prizes (Will be done by me/Aaron this week) [ ] Make Signs (Directions, parking, merch, bathroom, etc) [ ] Make CrunchyCo Promotional Materials to give away at the event (Will be made by me) [ ] Scout the area to figure out where everything's going (Friday or the day of) [ ] Send final reminder message to bands (Thursday or Friday) [ ] Inform the neighbors of the event (Nick Moffitt will do this soon) Items Needed: [ ] New CrunchyCo Banner (Not designed yet. Will be printed this week) [ ] Grassfest T-Shirts (Being printed as we speak. Pick up before Friday) [ ] Merchandise Tables (Anyone have any tables we can use for the show?) [ ] Raffle Tickets (Will be purchased today from my work) [ ] Volunteer Badges (Will be purchased today from my work) [ ] Poster Board and Markers for Signs (Will be purchased today from my work) [ ] Lighting (Anyone have any cool lights we can borrow for night time?) [ ] Food and Drinks (Will be purchasing/making probably Friday) [ ] Garbage Cans (Nick Moffitt probably has some at his house to use) [ ] Sound Equipment (Will be picked up from Joel on the day of) Can anyone think of anything else that we need or anything else that needs to be done?

i messaged all the band today like we talked about. so they can be well on their way with promoting. and we can do another band message later on this week giving out any last minute information.
one thing is we can print out some mini flyers and go around to all of nicks neighbors to first off inform them that there will be noise all night and not to call the cops on us. and then also second off to hand them a flyer showing were are professional and serious and to invite them to come to the show.

Hey everyone... I maybe maybe maybe will get to go. I am hoping to hop a bus and a ferry and then carpool with my friends who are already planning to attend. It cracks me up when my friends inform me they are attending your events, Gabe! I think Jason and Jackie and a few others have been to more than I have. I do hope to make it over there. I will be skipping Jason Webley and the "Monsters of Accordion" to be there. Take that as a BIG compliment guys! hehe.

In my experience throwing events, here's what I know re: neighbors, noise, etc. *If you are outside the city limits, then city sound ordinances will not apply to your event. I don't know if the res has particular rules, so you may want to check. *Maybe let the neighbors know particularly this is a straightedge event - no alcohol/drugs/thugs. *Sometimes recommended, sometimes not - depending on how many people you are expecting... Call the Sheriff's office and let them know ahead of time, and ask if you need any permits, etc. It would SUCK to get shut down on a technicality. And it Does happen. And sometimes they will be nicer to you if they know ahead of time and know you are working to make it a safe event. On the other hand.... Cops suck. *Regarding how many people you are expecting.... Events on private land are usually not expected to have permits. However, if there are going to be LOTS of people there are usually other rules. *You can always call the local authorities anonymously and ask questions about "what if" you were to do an event. That is the sneaky way. I dunno... hope that helps a little. Let me know if you have any questions, or if you want me to make an anonymous call! I have had lots and lots of experience with that sort of thing. Otherwise good luck with the neighbors, and hopefully you won't get noise complaints. I think the most you will deal with is a sherriff asking you to turn it down. That is about all they can do, methinks.

Thanks for the concern Heidi but I think we're okay as far as the noise goes. We've done this event at Nick's for the last two years and had other backyard shows there before too. it's always been just fine as long as we let the neighbors know it's coming. i don't think anyone's ever called the police, especially since i don't think they can even do anything until after 10pm anyways. and cops don't suck, they're just doing their job, all the police I've encountered have actually been very helpful and friendly.
anyway, yeah the more people the better so if you and your friends can make it thats cool

Yes, gabes shirt design is very beautiful, and the details look very nice and crisp on my computer screen. That being said, this is also the new grassfest tshirt's biggest flaw. Just like the CrunchyCo 2007 tee, the last KGHB blue screen Tee, this new Grassfest Tee has many, many, VERY SMALL lines that there is no way are going to show up as nicely as intended by Gabe. When designing tshirt in the future, Gabe should really start to use thicker lines. The design should not look as good online, but look perfect on a tshirt, not the other way around. Now, this is really just my prediction, i guess we'll see how they turn out soon enough; they still will look great nonetheless dont get me wrong, but you guys get what im saying.
Nick, i better see you posting my flyer online more you little weasel!! And i think Brandon was confused to why band names at the top are bigger than the ones at the bottom? For promotional reasons, the most popular / headlining bands are always the biggest to grab people attention first and get them to continue looking at the flyer. There wouldnt be much of a reason to put Invisible Giants in huge lettering at the top of the flyer because no one has heard of them, whereas right now, fighter x is big at the top of the flyers because hes the most popular / headlining, make sense? now, on the tshirt design, theres not really a reason to the size differences besides Gabes stylized choice to fill that space. Brandon is also confused about the ranking on the tshirt design and why the crunchyco bands are at the top. I really think its not about "ranking" on the tshirt design, i really think its just in the order of the lineup, which is the most sensible order to have on the tshirt.
I was going to say something about Lizzys ideas / post but she keeps editing her posts, mainly deleted large and entire sections, that its hard for me to keep up, remember what she said, and think of some kind of reply. and heidis posts are disturbing me
by the way, i know that bug on the grassfest tee was supposed to be a beetle; its funny how much Gabe screwed that up! hahah
