I'd like everyone to take a look at the What a Treat coimcs page: www.crunchyco.com/comics/whatatreat.htmlBrowse through the 2007 series and choose 1 to nominate for being made into a t-shirt. When we have enough nominations, we will conduct a poll and the winner of the poll will become the first What a Treat t-shirt! (also the first non-music CrunchyCo shirt) So pick a favorite!

Did I forget to say everyone gets only one nomination? Well since Aaron picked three, lets change it to three. Everyone pick your three favorites to nominate. Don't worry if they've already been nominated, just your hands-down top three.

haha yeah, i just couldnt decide! those are all of my favorites! changing it to three nominations is also probably a good thing! so, is this for nominating which ones go into a what a treat poll, which will be voted on for the final shirt?

I for one am against What A Treat tees. I guess I don't know the whole situation but should CrunchyCo. be saving up/spending money on more important things?
EDIT: but if a gun was held to my head I would have to agree with Stereo on this one. Naive is good.

Choose would be awesome as a two-sided shirt, but I don't know that that would even be possible.

Choose would be awesome as a two-sided shirt, but I don't know that that would even be possible. A two-sided shirt would be possible... Good idea. I for one am against What A Treat tees. I guess I don't know the whole situation but should CrunchyCo. be saving up/spending money on more important things? Dude, Nick, what kind of attitude is that!? I know you have a pretty narrow band of interests, but as a staff member I do expect you to support all sections of CrunchyCo. I don't know if you realize this, but What a Treat is currently our flagship comics title, and merchandising it is one of our top priorities to boost the comics area. Outside the Music section, What a Treat is not only important, but quite possibly the MOST important asset CrunchyCo has to offer. Please try to show a little respect for other people's work besides your own.

Calling What A Treat the flagship of the comic section isn't saying much. I love What A Treat btw! Most of them...if not all.....make me smile or even laugh. Old Timer is great:) Go Lizzy. I'm just saying instead of throwingmoney at even MORE shirts I think it would be a bit more wise to invest in things that would improve CrunchyCo. more. Don't act like I don't show respect for anyone elses work either haha. I saw my new shirts btw, fuck I'm good.

Nick, when trying to decide what CrunchyCo should spend money on to improve it, you've made it pretty clear that you're not the one to ask. It's kind of like what Aaron said in a different thread, if you don't know anything about Chinese food, why would you write a review of a Chinese restaurant? If you don't know anything about business or investments, maybe you shouldn't really be so confident about your opinion on the subject.

i do think lunchboxes would be easier to sell than t-shirts? i am actually somewhat a little bit on nick walthew's side -- well, according to his cover-up post where he tries to make it sound like he's against the t-shirts and not the comics :/
because, when i think of having a what a treat comic on a t-shirt? i think of all those stupid talking food shirts i've been seeing in the stores :/ but their talking food is vulgar and some of them have appendages, yuck!
but i think it might be a better idea to maybe buy a bunch of metal lunch boxes, and make some what a treat stickers, the size of the lunch box front, with maybe a special only-on-the-lunchbox comic. because, to me, the old comics are just old. the ones from last year don't even make me giggle. and it doesn't take much to make me giggle!
last year, people were requesting that i make shirts, but honestly? i don't think they'd sell very well :/ also, my shitty drawing style will be even more apparent when enlarged and emblazoned across the chest of a human being. don't you think?
also, lunchboxes fit what a treat. it makes sense. so... yeah. would anyone SERIOUSLY wear a what a treat shirt? i don't think i would :/

Hmm.. Well it's not like we have to do one or the other. I envision a big line of What a Treat merchandise, which naturally would include t-shirts. T-shirts are very easy to sell and are one of the most easily marketable and profitable products we carry. The fact is that we know t-shirts would sell as long as they have a good design. The lunch box thing is an awesome idea but it's more of a risk. I think we should do both. If you don't want to use an old design, you could make a new exclusive t-shirt one. T-shirts appeal to everyone, and they always sell not just for what's on them but because people simply need clothing.
Also, its not like we'd be making these shirts right away. I'm talking about maybe after a few months when the comics section has gained more popularity.

i am actually somewhat a little bit on nick walthew's side -- well, according to his cover-up post where he tries to make it sound like he's against the t-shirts and not the comics :/ I'm not against any of the comics Lizzy. I truely think they're all entertaining to read and have nothing but good things to say about them. Every time I see a new comic I'll tell gabe how funny I thought the new Marks was or how cute the new What A Treat was. Pig Man is looking epic btw. I wish I had enough motivation to make a comic for that section and if I did I definitely wouldn't have shirts for it. The comic section is clearly the close 2nd best thing about CrunchyCo.com so far. What do you know about investing Gabe? You blow your money away on a bunch of stuff you like that doesn't help CrunchyCo at all. There, I can make assumptions just like you have about Me twice so far. I'm mainly suggesting Crunchy pins and stickers or a new freakin' printer rather than more shirts. Maybe a better Crunchy sign for shows? I mean there's just sooo many more things that YOU could name off that are better than more shirts I would think. Is my input really that worthless? I'm only trying to help you know. I'm always trying to figure out what's best for CrunchyCo. no matter how much of an azshole I may come off as. If you honestly think What A Treat merch is going to help CrunchyCo........which it may only in the long run.........then go ahead. I'm only suggesting what I already typed above. Invest in things that will improve the quality of CrunchyCo.
