My new favorite video game store: Pink Godzilla in Seattle. It is nothing short of magical! You walk in and the walls are FILLED with games from every console you can imagine: Atari, NES, Famicom, SNES, Genesis, 3DO, Saturn, N64, PS1, Dreamcast, etc. It is a retro gamer's paradise! They have games for current consoles as well of course. In addition, all games are marked with flags showing their country of origin (mostly Japan and USA). If you are looking for older games or import games, Pink Godzilla is THE place to go instead of paying ridiculous prices on ebay or import game sites.
Another thing that makes Pink Godzilla so great is that they don't just carry any game that comes out. Their stock is very carefully selected so that they only have the best and most important games (no sports games, no crappy throw away games).
Besides video games, they also carry an amazing stock of used accessories for systems new and old. There is also a small section of cute Japanese import toys (which are pricey, but cool nonetheless). Lastly, Pink Godzilla is also the creator and distributor of a unique and fun card game: The Pink Godzilla Dev Kit. The point of the game is to develop video games by putting together cards containing various game components. Players complete games and are awarded points. I purchased it ($15) upon my first visit to PG, and have been playing it with friends since. It looks beautiful and plays just as beautifully, and it's so refreshing to play such an original card game that isn't about battling.
It is very sad that more video game stores don't take a hint from Pink Godzilla. It is the only store I know of that still takes trades for anything before PS2. Pink Godzilla is a store for real gamers! I love it. I could go on, but I'll let you check it out for yourself instead:
