yeah evan basically with wiklunds song on the hard copy, the legnth was around 82+ minutes and both alex mauer songs were too short so i would have had to cut two artists. wiklunds was the perfect legnth to cut, but when it comes down to it, everyone should be downloading it anyway because it has all the bonus tracks. my other option was to either cut ary's track or one of syphus's

yeah people with the hard copy kind of get the shaft. i guess they can download the bonus tracks anyway, but it's really too bad CDs can't hold more than 80 minutes.
so now that the comp's officially out, let's talk about our favorite (or least favorite) tracks!!

hey so uh.. maybe keep this on the DL guys, but the in the version of the comp you downloaded, all tracks are at 192kbps. my bad. i fixed it though, so now most tracks are 320kbps. just re-download it. sorry

I thiiink that's one gameboy but man it's just soooo nice. That's the best noise snare I've ever heard. other rad ones: -Taekwondo Princess (though it barely sounds like it's chiptune) - Fried Moonlight - Fantasy Flight (okay okay he makes SOME good tracks) - Both Firedrill tracks - Syphus' "Gluesniff" I just smiled the whole way through. - The ridiculous Maru song! And you know all that goes without saying stuff. SabrepulseFighterXblahblahblah. |

Before I get way into what tracks I like (if I ever actually do on this forum), I would like to say wow Jack, I didn't htink you would like the Maru one! I'm definitely bumping that Maru track at my bday party though. SO HARD!

My #1 favorite is...

My other top favorites are:
> Disasterpeace - Club Wolf (this one is just so fucking badass)
> JW86 - Brain Drain Sunday (wasn't too fond of it at first but after listening to it a lot, it really grew on me)
> CCIVORY - Club Bit
> Spamtron - Cosmic Morning
> Alex Mauer - Epileptic Connie
I also really enjoy listening to:
> Leeni - Vampyrs Mixdown
> Firebrand Boy - Rollox Heights
> Venn & Euler - Wagering Lights (like jack said, this one is epic!)
That Maru track is pretty cool but probably one of my least favorite. Same with USK and Shirobon (except the chorus melody of the Shirobon track is AMAZING)
Really though, there is not a song on the comp that I don't like. I think they're all fantastic.

I really like the way the first three songs fit together and at the beginning of the album.
I think as far as single tracks, I really like some of the Crunchy ones the best. Hypergiant, Jondrive, Stage 4 Shadow Man, Megaforce. And actually, Wxconfig as long as my head doesn't hurt.
Found is pretty awesome, if a little repetitive.
I cannot stand Operation Blackout, Lightspeed Disco is pretty uninteresting, and See Me Rock is super disappointing.
Jellybones is hilarious in a mostly good way.
And I love the classic television feel of Gluesniff.
I think for single favorite, I probably have to go for Megaforce.

The first 2 seconds and last 20 seconds of Sabrepulse's track are legendary. Totally not uninteresting gosh! I know it's just your opinion though Evan  My special like list:Kevlar-Phlogiston I would hate to think about Mega-Man when I hear this but it's inevitable. I really love the guitar in this track. Megaforce (The Afterlife Touch)-Fighter X My two tracks are pretty fucking sweet....maybe the best now that I really think about it Lightspeed Disco-Sabrepulse This is one of Sabrepulse's best LSDJ tracks in my opinion. Best melodies in chiptune. Fantastic song structure. Epileptic Connie-Alex MauerThis track has been stuck in my head since the release and I'm starting to get pissed.The noise is badass along with the melody. Marufana Low Times-Maru This lowbit electro hits my face so hard it hurts....badly. How is he able to pull off an ANIMLZ sample!?!? haha! I've tried I can't do it! See Me Rock-USK I'm a bias USK maniac, but if you can put that aside, I really love his wav chord work in this song. Great melody as usual. USK can rock much harder than this. I am sad I can't see him play at Blip tonight. Wagering Lights-V&E This is my favorite track on the compilation.[glow=red,2,300]Everything else is easily listenable except for Wiklunds weird song that Gabe likes, Leeni's heavy breathing song, ARY's very strangely produced track, and Circles Unicorns cover.[/glow] |
