Holy KGHB Costumes, batman!

new KGHB costumes. nearing completion?

i have put in OVER 16 hours of work on these things, and they are STILL not finished. and it is all uphill from here. because all the really difficult sewing feats come at the end. sigh!

i must say, though. they ARE looking pretty sweet.
and my craftmanship has drastically improved since the last costumes.

also, i'm wishing i didn't agree to do this without any compensation. except the right to bitch and moan. which i am doing right now. and it feels nice.

costumes are semi-done. the main components are put together so they can be worn, but we weren't able to finish all the detailing in time for the show. we will still be wearing them though and they still look wonderful! can't wait to surprise everyone with our new look!

uh oh! lizzy couldnt take it anymore and fell asleep at 4AM!!! they are SO close to being done, but its looking like i am going to have an unfinished costume

yikes! leaving for the show soon, and aaron's costume's still not finished :/ but it's just the finishing touches that are missing. the basic structure is complete !

insane. i've spent at least 24 hours on these things. and they're still not done! what gives.
but, they will for sure be 100% complete by their next show, i promise ;D

i'm mostly proud of how they look when you turn them inside out. the cleanest sewing i've ever done in my life!

holy crap, that would be one bad ass costume. do it!

thanks lizzy again for all the work you put into these outfits for us. we'll work on fixing them up some more so they can keep getting better. aaron's is a little loose fitting since he's so sickly skinny, and i don't think it looks bad, but we might try to make it tighter. oh yeah and we gotta figure out a way to fix my zipper from bursting open. haha, i'm sure that was kind of disturbing for the audience. then we just gotta add aarons back stripe and waistband, then the letters to both and we'll be lookin' pretty slick. despite the these initial fixable issues, i really think these outfits are an improvement in many ways.

The colors on the new costumes are greatt!! Even though they aren't finished I already like them more than the old black ones. I think I'm going to miss not seeing Gabe's sexy man chest anymore though.

hahaha, yeah, didn't gabe look like macho roller disco man from the 70s with his hairy chest all exposed? (good thing he just trimmed off all his carpet-like chest hair the other day, right?)

also, i was initially embarrased by the fact that gabe's zipper burst open, but whatever, it's not a reflection of me really -- its that damn ZIPPER company! haha.

and i was TOTALLY thinking how cool a fx costume would be ;D i don't know if i'd be capable of such a task, but who could say no to a million bucks? ;D haha
