i've never seen gabe get so happy about country music before! the album sounds like an interesting change, but im honestly not a country fan at all, so its hard to be too excited about this or have much of a valid opinion

im sure theres a lot of country music thats not really that serious and just for fun. my reasons for not being into country has nothing to do with how serious the music is or isnt
baboon's post is probably technically considered spam because they have only posted on this forum to advertise something of theirs. "no one cares" is pretty harsh, but could be true. does anyone care? like i said, its an interesting change for baboon, but not really my thing

Exactly Aaron. I shouldn't have to explain myself when I say stuff like that. The only times BTD posts here are when they're promoting themselves. Then Gabe acts all excited like he really enjoys country music? Gabe is so amazed Baboon has something new even though him and Aaron have been meaning to kick them off CrunchyCo? If you ask me BTD is just another Chinese spam robot on this forum........well.....maybe a little worse.

calling it spam and saying "no one cares" is pretty disrespectful and there's no arguing that.
nick dislikes BTD and their music, and that's okay. it's fine to say you don't like something, but nick's comment was simply uncalled for and does violate the forum rules. BTD has a right to post on this forum as much as anyone else whether they post frequently or not.

but honestly, forum spaming (only posting advertisements on a forum) IS ALSO disrespectful, especially since this is not the right audience for their music (our small forum community)

There's no spamming going on here so there's no problem.

...Gabe...please...you are killing me! I get emails all the time that say "hey, check this out! this is our newly release product....etc". Spam messages advertise a product and link you to another page. I do not mind people advertising their products / releases on this forum, but baboon's post can easily be considered inappropriate because:
1) the only posts they have made on this forum over the past 7 months have only been advertising themselves / their products. Not very many forums appreciate people only making posts when it involves themselves
2) baboon is not an official crunchy records artist yet, and this is not a crunchy records release, thus has very little relevance to crunchyco
3) our small forum community is not the right audience for this release
its kind of like how KGHB spams people with flyers and messages to promote a show. kghb does not normally talk to these people unless they are promoting themselves. because these people have not agreed to recieve our spam (and we are technically not abiding the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003) these people have the right to say "stop posting your spam on my page, i do not care about these shows"

BTD saying "check out our new cd" is no different than me posting "check out this new zspat", or "check out this new fighter x song" or evan saying "check out this video of myself covering kghb." BTD was in no violation and were simply sharing their creation like I would encourage everyone to do. They posted in the appropriate thread, they didn't post multiple times, they didn't post anything obstructive, AND the thing they were telling us about is FREE so they weren't even trying to sell anything which really makes it okay!
1. theres no rule against posting once every 7 months. there's no rule against posting about yourself/your music, and in fact i encourage people to post about the things they made and would like to share with us.
2. This is a public forum in which one of its purposes is to share new music releases. baboon has been on our website for a long time so i think they can reasonably assume that their release would have to do with crunchyco. If say Sabrepulse came out with a new CD all of a sudden that wasn't a CrunchyCo release, you wouldn't say that has nothing to do with us and you'd be talking about it all over this forum.
3. yes our small forum community is currently pretty biased in favor chip music, but again, being hosted on our website and CrunchyCo being a website that is supposed to support all kinds of music, it's pretty reasonable that BTD would feel comfortable to post in our forums and that our audience would be the right audience.
I know you like to side with Nick, but there really is nothing that makes BTD's post unwanted spam besides your personal opinion that it is unwanted spam. When most people don't care about a particular post, the right thing to do is just ignore it because someone else might be interested even if you aren't.

if sabrepulse only came on here every couple of months just to talk about himself, i would say that it is kind of a jerky thing to do. NO FORUMS like people that only post in threads to promote themselves! thats like playing a show, expecting people to watch and respect you, and then yourself leaving and not watching anyone else. i know BTD posted this with good intentions, and they are really nice guys, so i can kind of see why you so badly want to defend them. but honestly, it still comes across as being self-righteous and doing that is not very well received on forums. please read my kghb example and if you honestly do not understand, theres nothing more i can do. and i dont really appreciate your comments saying "I just like to side with Nick", are you saying Nick and I do not think for ourselves? is this some kind of personally comment? i feel that i am just being honest; Nick is being harsh, you are being too nice ...Gabe...please...you are killing me! its like how KGHB spams people with flyers and messages to promote a show. kghb does not normally talk to these people unless they are promoting themselves. (just like BTD does not normally go on this forum unless they are promoting themselves) because these people have not agreed to recieve our spam (and we are technically not abiding the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003) these people have the right to say "stop posting your spam on my page, i do not care about these shows" (both kghb and BTD are just informing people, but it is still considered spam)
