I remember their used to be a sub-forum that let you ask questions about CrunchyCo. stuff, but it seems to be gone now, so I figured this was the next closest thing.
Anyway, I just wanted to know why the music section was divided so that only the chiptune artists are featured on the front page, and everyone who isn't entirely up that alley is kind of tucked away in an "other" section? It's your call in the end and everything, but I just think it would be more fair to put everyone on the front page, and if you feel you need to separate the artists, do so all on the front page, and not with a link. I'm not angry, since most people probably find my page from the direct link on my myspace anyway. I just feel kinda under-represented.

Thanks for bringing this up Jack. The decision to make the "more music" page was brought about by Aaron primarily due to his concern about the majority of our current viewers; people seeking chiptune music. His idea is that putting the misc/experimental bands together on a separate page will alleviate confusion and frustration in those individuals who visit the music page who might otherwise be turned off by such a strange "cluttered" mix of other artists. He is also concerned about some of the new more popular artists (like Sabrepulse) who apparently would be appalled to be on the same label as some of the other artists. He still wishes to support the artists in the "more" section, but at the same time he feels like they give people the impression that CrunchyCo will just put anyone on the label, which would effect our reputation and how well respected we are. I definitely understand the concern because I actually fought with Aaron on this for a long time. You'll notice that three of the "other" bands are our own projects, so it is being executed fairly so far in that sense, although the fact that it's on a separate page is a little strange. The other categories are split up on the front page too (like Comics: Web Comics/Comic Books). It would be clear for people to understand the difference and not be confused, and people will just ignore the section if they find they dislike it.
We will definitely be discussing this at our meeting tomorrow and we will post here with the results and make necessary changes.

We've discussed this issue as well as other recent issues regarding the music section and come up with some decisions. Certain adjustments have been made, and a detailed explanation will be given within the next few days.
