WOOHOOO! It's finally over, phew that sure takes a load off my chest! Lets see.. the first band was really entertaining, much better than i thought. Leeni played a new spooky sounding LSDJ track that sounded really good, plus Circles played a good touched up version of adventure time! I dont even know what was up with Fighter X, the maniac completely touched up some chrance v2 tracks or something, i dont really know. but that first song FX played was epic! As I see it, it was the most awesome possible combination of the intro for More Four, and Sypheria. Which is totally what Sypheria needs live, too, to get people going faster.

Yea that was Coltan surfing, but that show was so freaking awsome. I had only seen KGHB before and even them it was so long ago that it was like watching a new band. I really liked circles opening and ending , I didn't get to see much of leeni, but KGHB rocked they were so awsome. I got some good ok footage with pretty good sound to though. And fighter X I think this was the first time I really got to see you play, I have been to shows but have been busy doing something usually. But being in the crowd actually listening to you was pretty awsome. When everybody is upfront like that dancing and crowd surfing, you forget that your in a backyard. If I wasn't a chiptune fan before I definantly am now.

crowdsurfing to chiptunes. i love you guys agreed. this event was AWESOME you guys. i had an amazing time. everybody put on a great performance, and the crowd was happening for sure. im surprised nothing got unplugged when fighter X started playing, i could see Sean and Atounchee having to try really hard not to smash into that table with all the equipment on it. haha i cant wait to do it again! :3

i loved how, even though we were outside, and it was fairly cold out, everyone was dancing until the air was hot and sweaty, and you could smell the GRASS from everyone's shoes grinding away at the lawn. and you start to forget you're outside, but then you look up and there's stars all above you. i think that was my favorite moment of the night. the sweat, the smell of grass, and the stars. OH! and looking over to my left and seeing BRANDON BOWLBY dancing. that made me smile a few times however, i think people need to learn to KEEP THEIR ELBOWS IN when they're dancing. i almost got elbowed way to many times. especially with the tall lanky boys because their elbows and my FACE are at the same level.

squirrel corpse was terrible and not funny, but i thought it was ridiculous when nick's dad: -grabbed the mic away from them and yelled at them -went over to their van after they packed up and yelled at them
anyway, it was a lot of fun.

god that was so sad. i cant believe nicks dad did that.
i loved the entire show. every single band i saw was so enjoyable. i loved the opening punk band. i did think they were really funny. behold the rolling thunder was out of control amazing. Seth your drumming was amazing for substandard. and i couldnt believe how good invisible gients were. and of course all the dance music at the end was so increadable i myself couldnt help but to get up there and dance especially to fighter X.
1 thing i have to say . . . where the fuck was all of Fighter X's breakcore stuff??? im going to be very sad if that is all in the past and your exclusively on LSDJ now. it would be so much better and cooler if you did awesome sets with a good mix of both.

haha i loved squirrel corpse! i thought they were hilarious.
Really all the bands did great! There wasn't one that I didn't enjoy.
Besides a few technical/time management problems, the show went very well from beginning to end and that was probably one of the best crowds I've seen at one of our shows, both in size and participation. It was great to see like all our biggest fans from all the various cities we've played in gathered into one place. The sound system made all the difference too. When it got dark it really was easy to forget that the show was outside. This event really does get better every year.

By the way, for anyone who is interested about the success of the "Cory Nelson Festival" that occurred on the same day as Grassfest, I heard that their turn out was less than satisfactory, pretty much "the bands and their girlfriends", but everyone had fun anyways. They had an issue with Mike Greene's band "Murder Your Savior" simply not showing up, but it seemed to be a decent show besides that. Props to the CNF guys; I hope we didn't steal anyone from their show, but I really don't think we did (although apparently one guy was upset that there weren't enough people so he did leave and go to Grassfest, or so the story goes).

I brought my groovebox to Grassfest and planned on playing a few break beats but KGHB and I were zapped for time so I mainly just went for promoting my new EP.

Yeah, we wanted to play more older stuff too (for instance I'm pretty sure this was the first show ever in which we didn't play Dance Dance Dance) but since we were pressed for time we wanted to get the newest material out there.
