Completely inspired by what Maru did on a sidewalk in Japan, I plan on setting up both of my studio monitors and Game Boy w/LSDJ on the streets of Capitol Hill (Broadway) in Seattle. You will see me sitting there on the hot Summer cement jammin’ some chiptunes for everyone to hear, whether they like it or NOT!!! I don’t know how this is going to go. I know it’s probably breaking a law or two. What do you guys think?
WHO: Fighter X
WHERE: Capitol Hill/ Corner of Broadway and E. Olive Way across from American Apparel and US Bank
WHEN: 6:00pm sharp!

yeah baby. it can't be THAT illegal. bums in seattle do that shit all the time. it wouldn't really be any different from you playing a boombox or something. i doubt anyone will care. BUT that would be a pretty cool youtube video: fighter x gets hauled in by the cops for disturbing the peace. we should film it incase any crazy shit goes down ;P

Yeah it would make for a nice video! The only thing that's kinda weird is that I'll be using someones electricity haha. I need two outlets for my monitors :-P But yeah I'll be there on Friday the 18th of this month!

you should totally do it!
if you need help with like, getting a source of electricity i might be able to help out. and then you wouldn't need to take it from a store.

So in case you're interested, I looked up noise laws here, and you end up being limited to 55dB, unless a police officer tells you to stop, in which case volume doesn't even matter.
And since you're not a panhandler, laws about street performance shouldn't really apply to you.

you WILL get a ticket. most of those "bums" have street performance licenses.

would you seriously get a ticket? i mean, would you get a ticket for standing out on the street playing music off a cd player? probably not. there's not much of a difference. it seems like the only issue really is getting power, but i bet some place would be nice enough to give you permission for that

Yeah I plan on going to Capitol Hill this Monday so I'll get a good idea of where to play at. Power definitely is the biggest issue....why can't everything take batteries?

think of it as having headphones on a medium volume probably. so when you think of it across a distance it would have to be pretty loud speakers.
but fuck - my friends sister is getting married that night and also batman begins comes out!!
